Prince Edward Island Issues 179 PNP Invitations in December 2025 Draws

Prince Edward Island has continued to focus its Provincial Nominee Program on workers who are already contributing to the island’s economy, issuing 179 invitations across two draws held in December 2025.

The invitations were issued under the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams of the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program. No invitations were issued under the Business Work Permit stream in either draw.

December 15, 2025 Draw

On December 15, 2025, Prince Edward Island issued 166 invitations. The province prioritised candidates working in occupations and sectors with the greatest economic impact in Prince Edward Island.

Special emphasis was placed on:

• Candidates working for PEI employers
• International graduates from the University of Prince Edward Island, Holland College, and Collège de l’Île

No entrepreneur invitations were issued.

December 23, 2025 Draw

A second draw on December 23, 2025 resulted in 13 invitations, again targeting individuals employed in priority occupations and sectors aligned with provincial labour market needs. As with the earlier draw, no business invitations were issued.

2025 PEI PNP Summary

Across all draws in 2025, Prince Edward Island issued a total of 1,609 invitations, including:

• 1 entrepreneur invitation
• 1,608 Labour Impact and Express Entry invitations

The continued emphasis on workers already employed in PEI reflects the province’s strategy to retain talent, support employers facing labour shortages, and strengthen long-term settlement outcomes.

Prince Edward Island has consistently signalled that candidates with local employment, Canadian education, and strong ties to the province remain best positioned for nomination.
