Prince Edward Island Issues 190 Invitations in Latest PNP Draw

Prince Edward Island has issued 190 invitations in its latest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw, held on November 20, 2025. The draw focused entirely on Labour and Express Entry candidates, with no invitations issued under the Business Work Permit Entrepreneur stream.
Labour and Express Entry Invitations Dominate the Draw
All 190 invitations were issued to candidates in the Labour and Express Entry categories. The province targeted individuals working in priority occupations and French-speaking candidates, emphasising sectors with the greatest economic impact in Prince Edward Island.
This draw also prioritised:
- Candidates already working with a PEI employer
- International graduates from the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), Holland College, and Collège de l’Île
These priorities reflect PEI’s continued focus on retaining talent trained or employed within the province.
No Business Invitations Issued
The Business Work Permit Entrepreneur category issued zero invitations, continuing a recent trend where labour-focused selections dominate PEI’s draws.
What This Means for Applicants
PEI remains committed to selecting candidates who:
- Fill immediate labour shortages
- Contribute to Francophone community growth
- Demonstrate strong ties to the province through work, study, or employer support
This targeted approach helps ensure long-term retention and economic development across the island.
