British Columbia has issued a new round of invitations under the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP), targeting candidates working in the province’s priority sectors.
On June 2, 2026, the BC PNP invited 342 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through targeted draws under its Skills Immigration streams.
The invitations followed British Columbia’s “Care, Build, Innovate” framework, which restructured the program in April 2026 to direct nominations toward roles the province has identified as critical to its labour market and public services.
Of the 342 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) issued, 117 went to candidates in priority healthcare occupations under the Care: Health stream, which required a minimum registration score of 100. A further 6 invitations were issued to animal health technologists and veterinary technicians (NOC 32104) with a valid professional designation under the Care: Veterinary Care stream, with a minimum score of 92.
The Care: Childcare stream invited 91 Early Childhood Educators with a minimum score of 111. The largest share — 128 invitations — went to candidates in priority construction occupations under the Build: Construction Trades stream, with a minimum score of 101.
British Columbia also held an Entrepreneur Immigration draw on June 2, issuing 15 invitations in the Base stream and fewer than 5 in the Regional stream, both requiring a minimum score of 117.
The BC PNP noted that invitations to apply are issued only to qualified registrations submitted before the date of the draw. Invited candidates must submit a complete application through BC PNP Online within 30 calendar days. Candidates can review earlier invitation rounds through the program’s official archives.
This draw continues British Columbia’s focus on directing provincial nominations toward sectors facing the greatest workforce shortages — healthcare, child care, the skilled trades, and animal health services.
