Alberta Issues New Invitations Through AAIP in Two Recent Draws

Alberta has issued new invitations to immigration candidates through the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), targeting both the province’s growing healthcare needs and a broader pool of skilled workers.
Healthcare Draw Targets Priority Skills
On November 14, 2025, Alberta invited 52 candidates through the Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors (Health Care). The minimum score for selection was 80.
This draw reflects Alberta’s ongoing efforts to attract healthcare professionals who can help meet critical labour shortages across the province’s hospitals, clinics, and community care facilities.
Over 1,000 Candidates Invited Through Opportunity Stream
Earlier in the month, on November 10, 2025, the Alberta Opportunity Stream issued 1,045 invitations with a minimum score of 55.
This stream targets workers already in Alberta with eligible work experience and status, supporting the province’s push to retain and transition temporary residents into permanent roles within the labour market.
Alberta Continues to Focus on Workforce Needs
These two draws show Alberta’s continued focus on filling in-demand roles and supporting economic growth through targeted immigration.
The healthcare-specific draw highlights the province’s demand for nurses, doctors, technicians, and other essential practitioners, while the broad Opportunity Stream selection provides a path to permanent residence for a wide range of skilled workers already contributing to Alberta’s economy.
