Alberta Invites More Than 270 Candidates in Latest Immigration Draws

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) issued over 270 invitations in four immigration draws held between October 23 and 29, 2025, focusing on law enforcement, construction, healthcare, and in-province workers.
On October 29, fewer than 10 candidates were invited through the Alberta Express Entry Stream – Law Enforcement Pathway, with a minimum score of 46. This pathway targets experienced law enforcement professionals to address recruitment needs across Alberta’s police and public safety sectors.
A day earlier, on October 28, 60 candidates were selected under the Priority Sectors – Construction pathway, requiring a minimum score of 60. Alberta continues to prioritise construction trades as the province experiences strong infrastructure growth and housing demand.
Healthcare workers once again dominated invitations, with 142 candidates invited on October 24 under the Dedicated Health Care Pathway (non-Express Entry). The minimum score was 42, reflecting Alberta’s urgent need for nurses, medical technologists, and other critical health professionals.
Finally, on October 23, 60 invitations were issued through the Alberta Opportunity Stream, which targets individuals already working in Alberta and meeting employer and residency criteria. The minimum qualifying score was 900, consistent with the stream’s points-based system.
These late-October draws highlight Alberta’s continued strategy of addressing pressing workforce gaps in healthcare, construction, and public safety while supporting skilled temporary workers already contributing to the provincial economy.
