New Brunswick Issues 326 Invitations in February PNP Draws

New Brunswick has continued its strong start to 2026 with a new round of invitations issued on February 2, inviting a total of 326 candidates to apply for provincial nomination.
The draws targeted candidates under the New Brunswick Express Entry Stream and the New Brunswick Strategic Initiative, with a continued focus on retaining workers with employment ties to the province and boosting Francophone immigration.
Express Entry Stream Leads Activity
The New Brunswick Express Entry Stream saw the highest activity in this round, issuing 166 invitations to candidates under the Employment in New Brunswick pathway.
This pathway is aligned with the federal Express Entry system and is designed for candidates who have a valid job offer or are currently employed in the province. By selecting candidates from all occupational sectors, the province is signaling a broad demand for skilled labor across its economy, rather than limiting intake to specific high-demand lists.
Continued Push for Francophone Talent
The New Brunswick Strategic Initiative issued 160 invitations to French-speaking candidates. This stream specifically targeted two pathways:
- New Brunswick Francophone Priorities
- Francophone Workers in New Brunswick
As Canada’s only officially bilingual province, New Brunswick heavily utilizes the Strategic Initiative to attract French-speaking newcomers who can contribute to the vitality of its Francophone communities. Like the Express Entry draw, these invitations were open to candidates from all occupational sectors.
The cut-off date and time for eligible profiles in both streams was February 1, 2026, at 11:59:00 pm (AST).
